The award of the EU-OFF prizes took place may the 22nd at 5pm in the gardens of the Th. Monod museum.

Atmosphere of festivities, thanks to the concert of the Guiss� brothers and a large audience for this ceremony which was honored by the presence of Mr Mame Birame Diouf, minister of culture, Mr Gilles Hervio, head of delegation for the European Union, Mr Magueye Kass�, curator of Dak'Art, Mr Ousseynou Wade, general secretary of Dak'Art, Mamadou Ndoye Dout's, laureat of 2006 prize and Mauro Petroni, coordinator of the OFF shows.

La remise des "prix OFF du public" offerts par l'Union europ�enne est pr�vue le jeudi 22 mai 2008 � 17h dans les jardins du Mus�e Th�odore Monod.

L'UE r��dite cette ann�e le prix UE-OFF du public sous le parrainage de l'artiste Mamadou Ndoye Dout's, laur�at du prix en 2006. Cette ann�e, 3 artistes exposant dans le OFF de la Dak'art, 6 galeristes, 1 journaliste ainsi que 20 personnes du public seront r�compens�s.

Un grand moment festif et plein de surprise en perspective avec un accompagnement musical des Fr�res Guiss� dans un cadre sp�cialement am�nag� ! Nous vous attendons nombreux jeudi � 17h !

Awards of the public for the OFF may the 22nd at 5pm

The awards of the Public for the OFF offered by the European Union will take place thursday 22nd of may at 5pm in the gardens of the Mus�e Th�odore Monod.

The EU as in 2006 will give its UE-OFF prize of the public under the sponsorship of the artist Mamadou Ndoye Dout's, laureat of the prize in 2006. This year, 3 artists exhibiting in the Dak'art OFF , 6 gallery owners, 1 journalist and also 20 personnes of the public will be awarded.

A great festive moment and many surprises to expect accompanied by the concert of the Guiss� brothers in a specially designed place! We expect many of you thursday at 5 pm !

Today 14th of may at 5pm to the "Village des Arts", Dak'Art Lab gives you an appointment to the Atelier C1 , village des Arts, grand Yoff, near Leopold S�dar Senghor stadium.

Come to discover into the heart of the artists studios, works of Birom Seck , Breeze Yoko from South Africa, Pamphile Oudiame and Fatou Kand� Senghor.

This program of digital arts presentations will carry on tomorow with Alonso Blanco and several artists next days.

Today monday 12th of may 2008, in the office of the Dak'Art, the manager of Arts and Culture department of ZULOGA Corp., Val�rie Oka offered the 4 great awards to the artists Ndary Lo, Mansour Ciss Kanakassy, Nkosikhona Ngcobo and Johann Van Der Schijff.

This awards' ceremony followed the official awards' ceremony of ZULOGA during the opening of the biennale, honored by the presence of the president of the Republic of Senegal, S.E.M, M. WADE.

La vie de la biennale de Dak'Art, que l'Afrique et ses artistes, et, avec eux, tous ceux qui s'int�ressent � la production artistique, � divers niveaux, souhaitent bien longue, sera � un tournant o� la majorit� des pays du continent c�l�bre cinquante ans d'ind�pendance.

Depuis les trois derni�res �ditions de la Biennale le nombre des manifestations recens�es dans le OFF reste autour de cent trente. Certes, quelques sites ferment et d'autres s'ouvrent, mais il semble qu'il y ait un potentiel d'artistes et d'op�rateurs qui reste permanent. Le OFF se fid�lise.
Un groupe constant croit dans cette manifestation et continue � s'y investir : des artistes qui � chaque fois ont l'envie de recommencer et de montrer leurs derni�res oeuvres, des op�rateurs qui travaillent dans (...)
